Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film “Animal” has been making waves, setting new standards for action movies in India. However, some viewers expressed concerns about the portrayal of female characters in Animal, feeling that the male actors received the lion’s share of action sequences while the female roles seemed marginalized throughout the film.

Addressing these criticisms, Sandeep’s brother, Pranay Reddy Vanga, has stepped forward to defend the film and shed light on the significance of the female character in the film.

During an interview with iDream, Pranay marked the importance of Rashmika’s character in “Animal,” stating that her role held equal weightage alongside Ranbir’s character in Sandeep’s vision. He highlighted a specific instance, the extensive Karva Chauth scene, where Ranbir’s dialogue was minimal, merely four lines, while the scene itself spanned four pages, entirely focusing on Rashmika’s character. In a testament to their dedication, Pranay revealed that Ranbir generously encouraged Rashmika to deliver her best performance, allowing her to hit him multiple times to perfect the scene. Rashmika ended up striking Ranbir about 20-25 times until they captured the scene convincingly.

Pranay disagreed with the idea that Ranbir feels unsure or worried about his role. He explained that Ranbir cares more about making the scenes work well rather than focusing on how much attention he gets. Their teamwork, where Ranbir and Rashmika worked together, shows how dedicated they are to giving a great performance. It highlights that they both respect each other and are devoted to doing their best in acting.

Even though “Animal” faced some early criticism, it became a huge hit in Indian cinema, becoming the top-earning A-rated film in the country. The revelation about how Rashmika’s character was crucial and the teamwork involved gives us a better idea of how the movie worked. It shows why it’s essential for action movies to fairly represent all characters, emphasizing the importance of giving each character their due importance in the story.
