In the South Indian film industry, leading actresses are earning impressive paychecks, competing with top actors. Over time, their remuneration has increased significantly as their popularity grows.
At the top of the list is Sai Pallavi, known for her natural acting. She usually charges around ₹5 crore per Telugu film, the same amount she received for Thandel. However, for the upcoming Hindi adaptation of Ramayan, starring Ranbir Kapoor, she reportedly charged ₹18 crore.
Rashmika Mandanna is another leading actress with rising demand. She charged ₹10 crore for Pushpa and generally takes around ₹4 crore per film. She maintained the same fee for her upcoming projects Chaava and Sikander.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is also a well-established actress in the industry. Her usual film fee is ₹3 crore which she received for Kushi. However for the Citadel web series with Amazon Prime, she charged ₹8 crore and she is expected to maintain the same amount for her upcoming Netflix project.
Anushka Shetty, who has reduced her film appearances, still commands a fee between ₹3 to ₹6 crore per film. Meanwhile, Nayanthara often referred to as the Lady Superstar charges ₹10 crore per movie.
The increasing remuneration of these actresses reflects the booming South Indian film industry. As their market value rises, their earnings are expected to grow even further in the coming years.
