Mammootty starrer Peranbu’s audio launch was held recently which was a star-studded affair. However, no one would’ve imagined in their wildest dreams that the event would turn into a controversy. Director Mysskin as the event said, “If I were a girl, I would have loved him. If I were a girl, I would have raped him. “You have to create a controversy somehow to make this film a big hit and with that, my job here is done” And this stirred controversy for his distasteful “rape” comments.

A Twitter user named Sujatha Narayanan fired back at his comments, tweeting, “ Is this even a worthy manner of appreciating Mammootty? What is so funny in #mysskin saying he would’ve raped #Mammootty had he been a girl? Role reversal?? Its not a compliment to either the mega star or any woman. Also – One can praise an actor without having to decry another.”
