HanuMan sees over 55% surge on day 2, while Guntur Kaaram faces huge drop

Teja Sajja, starring as Hanuman in the mythological superhero film “HanuMan,” had a strong opening at the box office, collecting Rs 8.05 crore on Friday. The movie experienced a notable 55.65 percent increase in collections on the second day, reaching Rs 12.53 crore. The film’s total domestic earnings now stand at Rs 14.05 crore, with global earnings reaching Rs 23.5 crore.

Positioned as the first Telugu superhero movie, “HanuMan” created buzz even before its release, earning Rs 4.15 crore in its paid premiere for Telugu viewers.

Despite this, it faced competition from Mahesh Babu’s “Guntur Kaaram,” which earned over Rs 41 crore on the opening day but saw a significant drop to Rs 13 crore on the second day.

Teja Sajja plays Hanuman, the protagonist from the fictional realm of Anjanadri, endowed with superhuman powers inspired by the Hindu god Hanuman. Directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by Primeshow Entertainment, the film also features Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, and Raj Deepak Shetty. The movie portrays Hanuman as a champion for his people, showcasing a battle between good and evil as he embraces his newfound abilities.
