High negativity surrounds HanuMan OTT

HANUMAN ott latest update

Amidst the buzz surrounding Hanuman’s release on OTT platform Zee5, there has been a surge of negative feedback on social media, particularly on platform X, formerly known as Twitter. Critics on these platforms have been vocal about their disappointment, especially regarding the quality of visual effects, which some have likened to that of a television serial.

This wave of criticism has been fueled in part by fans of Mahesh Babu, who faced disappointment during Sankranti due to the overshadowing success of Hanuman over ‘Guntur Kaaram.’ Their frustration has spilled over onto social media platforms, with many expressing their dissatisfaction with Hanuman.

However, it’s important to recognize that films like Hanuman, which earned over ₹100 crore at the worldwide box office, may not necessarily replicate the same level of success on OTT platforms. Unlike mainstream commercial films, Hanuman belongs to a different genre and may appeal to a more niche audience.

Set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, Hanuman is more than just a standalone film; it marks the inception of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). With a stellar cast including Amrita Iyer, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty, and Vinay Rai, the film was well-received upon its theatrical release on January 12.

Hanuman Review

Despite the negativity surrounding its OTT release, Hanuman-like films have a dedicated audience and a distinct place in the industry. While criticisms may abound on social media, it’s important to acknowledge the film’s impact and the unique niche it caters to, both theatrically and now on the streaming platform.
