The trains ran from 5 am to 12:30 am on Saturday. In fact, due to the heavy surge, the officials made the Metro frequency availability for every five minutes to their patronage. The Metro officials said that generally 2.5 lakh people travel every day, but following the strike of TSRTC 3.65 lakh footfalls came in on a single day. If the indefinite strike continues, officials expect that fatre the festival the number of people commuting is likely to increase.
