Is Spirit Going to Be A Rated Drama?

Popular director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for intense films like Animal, is now preparing for another action-packed movie titled Spirit. The film stars Prabhas in the lead role, with Tripti Dimri playing the female lead. Originally, Deepika Padukone was considered for the role, but creative differences led to a change in casting.

Spirit will be a high-scale Telugu action film, but with a twist—it will carry an ‘A’ certificate, meaning it’s made for adult audiences. The movie will feature intense action scenes and some bold content, setting it apart from regular commercial films. According to sources, both Prabhas and Tripti Dimri have agreed to shoot the bold sequences, and the director has promised a respectful and professional environment on set.

The film is expected to begin shooting in October 2025 and is being planned as a global release in nine languages. Talks are also ongoing with Korean actor Ma Dong Seok for an important role. With its unique mix of mass appeal and mature storytelling, Spirit is being seen as one of the most awaited Indian films, alongside SS Rajamouli’s upcoming project with Mahesh Babu.
