Is Trisha Krishnan entering politics?
Recently, rumors surfaced about South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan considering a political career especially following actor Thalapathy Vijay’s decision to enter politics. However, Trisha’s mother Uma Krishnan has firmly denied these speculations stating that Trisha is committed to her acting career and has no plans to venture into politics.
In an interview with Manorama News, Uma clarified, “Trisha is not entering politics. She will continue her journey in cinema. All other reports are baseless.” This statement has put an end to the ongoing rumors that gained momentum after Thalapathy Vijay’s announcement of forming his political party in 2024.
The speculation about Trisha’s political entry was fueled by her frequent appearances with Vijay, including their joint trip to actress Keerthy Suresh’s wedding in Goa. However, Trisha’s mother has dismissed all these claims, making it clear that the actress remains focused on her film career.
Trisha Krishnan is gearing up for her next film, Vidaamuyarchi, where she stars opposite Ajith Kumar. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, this action thriller tells the story of a husband who ventures into the criminal underworld to rescue his kidnapped wife. The film, which was initially planned for a Pongal release, is now scheduled to hit theaters on February 6, 2025.
Vidaamuyarchi also features actors like Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in key roles, making it one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Fans are eager to see Trisha’s performance in this intense and gripping narrative.
Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay is actively preparing for his political career and his upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. The movie is expected to have an army backdrop and may be Vijay’s final project before fully dedicating himself to politics. Updates about the film including its first look and title are expected to be revealed on January 26, 2025.
