Jr NTR’s Yamadonga 4K Re-Release Box Office Collections
The classic Telugu film Yamadonga was re-released worldwide in 4K quality and completed its first two days at the box office with estimated collections. The film earned around 58 lakh rupees in the Nizam area, 25 lakh in Ceeded, and 70 lakh in Andhra. Combined, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions contributed about 1.53 crore rupees. Additionally, the Karnataka, Rest of India (ROI) and overseas markets added approximately 30 lakh rupees. This brings the total estimated worldwide gross collection to about 1.83 crore rupees in just two days.
Yamadonga stars Jr NTR and Priyamani, with direction by SS Rajamouli. Originally released in 2007, the fantasy action-comedy was one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of that year. The film’s story revolves around a mischievous man whose life changes dramatically after a run-in with the god of death.

Despite the excitement around the re-release, Yamadonga did not perform as strongly on its first day compared to other recent re-releases. On May 18, it recorded ticket sales that were 57.5% lower than those of Salaar, a film starring Prabhas, which was also re-released earlier this year. Salaar had sold 26,350 tickets on its first day, whereas Yamadonga sold about 11,180 tickets.
Before the release, Yamadonga had good pre-release buzz and achieved the tenth-best ticket pre-sales for a Telugu re-release on BookMyShow (BMS), surpassing some popular films. However, the opening day sales showed a weaker response from audiences.
For fans, Yamadonga is available for streaming on Prime Video, where it holds a rating of 7.2 on IMDb. This re-release is part of celebrations for Jr NTR’s birthday and gives a chance for new viewers to enjoy the film in improved quality.
