Samantha’s Speech Moves Amala Akkineni to Applaud
Samantha recently celebrated 15 years in the film industry and Zee Telugu honored her at a special award event. The celebration was part of the Apsara Awards 2025, where many well-known stars like Amala Akkineni, Roja, director Sukumar, Ramyakrishna and Anil Ravipudi gathered to recognize Samantha’s success. A promo of the event showed Samantha giving an emotional speech, which received warm applause, especially from actress Amala Akkineni.
Samantha began her acting career in 2010 with the film Yem Maya Chesave, directed by Gautam Menon. Over the last 15 years, she has become a prominent figure in Telugu cinema. During her speech, Samantha thanked the Telugu film industry, calling it her “karma bhoomi,” meaning her place of work and destiny. She also assured fans that Telugu audiences would always remain her top priority.

One of the highlights of the event was the warm moment when Amala Akkineni, Samantha’s ex mother-in-law, clapped and smiled during the speech. This gesture was appreciated by many and created a positive atmosphere.
At the same event, Amala Akkineni was honored for her 30 years of dedication to animal welfare. She gave credit to her team for her success and shared a light moment when asked about the most handsome actor among Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, and Akhil.
Since her separation from Naga Chaitanya, Samantha has focused on her career, working on movies and web series in Telugu and Hindi. She recently became a producer and launched the successful film Shubham.
