Kavitha arrest: Know the story behind Delhi Liquor Scam

We already knew that MLC Kavitha was arrested under Section 3 of the Money Laundering Crime. Speaking about the same, Advocate Arun Kumar revealed some shocking facts.

She is accused of laundering thousands of crores which came from poor people. Sitting in a star hotel, under the guise of policies, she conducted the scam. Talking about the same, Arun Kumar said ‘They gathered people who wanted to start agencies and took money from them. Then they used the money for personal purposes. Some may think it’s a minor case, but it’s not. She diverted all the black money into her foreign bank account and attempted to portray it as white money. It’s like a clean crime.’

‘They didn’t even pay taxes. So, the IT and ED departments collaborated. They embezzled the money intended for the nation’s treasury. She is the main culprit. Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal is also under investigation,’ he added.

‘Kavita, by stating that she is only a suspect and not the culprit, requested security. Last year, a charge sheet was filed against some family members from the Magunta family, and Kavitha’s name was mentioned as the culprit. As her name is on the culprit list, the petition will be dismissed. The court also instructed Kavitha to appear whenever summoned. Without complying with the court order, Kavitha skipped many court visits and has now been arrested. Manish Sisodiya has been in jail for the past year, so how can we expect Kavitha to get bail? She doesn’t have any immunity as of now. This is not a minor crime. She embezzled thousands of crores with the South Syndicate. Despite being a woman, she cannot evade responsibility for this crime. Her petition for bail is utterly pointless because she is the main culprit in this entire case. She is the primary accused. Even Aravind Kejriwal has to comply with calls from ED, IT, or the court. Since this is a non-bailable case, it will take more than a year for her to obtain bail,’ he added.

‘Some may suggest there is a political angle, but they are merely attempting to deflect blame. Kavitha doesn’t deserve leniency in this case. We have to wait and see if Aravind Kejriwal supports Kavitha now,’he concluded.
