Lal Singh Chadha Movie Review

Lal Singh Chadha has been Aamir Khan’s dream project for a very long time now. He has produced this film which has been released today. Read on to see if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

Lal Singh Chadha(Aamir Khan) is a different child from his birth. His mother safeguards him and trains him in a way that he can take on the world. So, he finds a friend in the form of Rupa(Kareena Kapoor). But she leaves him midway in life and leaves Lal Singh with problems. How he overcomes them and what issues he faces is the story of Lal Singh Chadha.

Performances

Aamir Khan for the first time in his career has done a pathetic job. He imitates his character from PK and irritates the audience in the first half. He settles down in the latter part and saves the day. Kareena Kapoor is the best and gives a solid performance in her key role. Mona Singh as Aamir’s mom was also good.

Analysis

We all know that Lal Singh Chadha is the remake of the Hollywood hit Forest Gump. The adaptation looks fine on paper but the execution is below par. Advait the direction has not done any justice to the film that has no juice in it and the drama showcased is dull.

Aamir just lacks the punch in the film and his character lacks soul. Whenever scenes with Kareena come, it makes some sense. But apart from that, there is no novelty in the film and the lengthy runtime is a big letdown and bores the audience.

The music is very good but the editing and screenplay are a letdown. The story is narrated through timelines but does not entertain you one bit. There is no emotion or romance or comedy in this film and ends as a dud. Aamir Khan too is lost in translation and all this is shown on screen and makes this film unbearable.

Bottom Line – Falls Flat
