The most awaited biopic Mahanati which chronicle’s Savithri’s life has finally got its date locked. The film is all set to hit marquee on May 9 and we need not reiterate that Keerthy Suresh is essaying Savithri’s role. The film will be released in all the four languages down South wherein Dulquer Salmaan will be seen as Gemini Ganesan, as Savithri’s husband. The film consists of a huge stellar cast with the likes of Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who essays Jamuna role, Anushka Shetty as Bhanumathi, Naga Chaitanya as Akkineni Nageswara Rao, NTR Jr and Vijay Deverakonda.
The film is directed by Nag Ashwin and Kerrthy Suresh has to say this about the director, “On working with him, here’s what Keerthy Suresh has to say – “We had the narration session for almost three hours. If nobody had mentioned it, I would have never known or felt that the director has little experience. The very thought of making a biopic on Savithri amma itself is very mature. Not everybody can think like that or pull it off as he did. I never had any apprehensions about his experience because he has done his part well.”
