Cinematographer KU Mohanan who predominantly works in Bollywood is cracking the camera for Mahesh Babu’s upcoming flick Maharshi. And now, Maharshi DOP Mohanan’s daughter Malavika is all set to star next to Rajinikanth in a Tamil film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Malavika Mohanan To Work With Rajinikanth

A source confirmed about her casting, saying, “Malavika makes her debut in this lavishly-mounted Tamil production, which also features Vijay Setupati. Unlike her character from the Dhobi Ghat in Majidi’s film, she will be seen in a glamorous avatar in this light-hearted action-drama, one of the most expensive films ever made in Tamil.”

Malavika had made her debut opposite Ishaan Khatter in Beyond the Cloud which was directed by International filmmaker Majid Majidi. Now, the actress is all set for Tamil debut and it’s a dream come true for any actor to get casted in Rajinikanth film.

Earlier, we told you that Trisha Krishnan would be sharing the screen with the Superstar Rajinikanth. The Thalaivar has joined with filmmaker Karthik Subbaraja and the film had been shot in Dehradun earlier this year. Meanwhile, while many heroin names cropped up, it was Trisha who was finalised and reportedly Karthik met the actress to narrate her role and the script. Trisha would play Rajinikanth’s love interest in the untitled flick. Interestingly, the film also has Simran and major chunks between the two have been shot. Made on a mammoth budget, it is produced by Sun Pictures and has the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, and Megha Akash among others.

The music is rendered by Anirudh Ravichander, who has teamed by with Karthik and Rajinikanth for the first time.
