Going by what is coming from the social media handles, the news seems to be true. Malavika Mohanan, who made her debut in Tamil cinema with Rajinikanth’s Petta, is likely to play Dhanush’s romantic interest.
The project was supposed to go on floors once Dhanush completes Mari Selvaraj’s Karnan. However, due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, there weren’t any updates regarding progress of the Karthick Naren’s film. Now, speculations are rife on the internet that Malavika Mohanan has been finalised as the female lead. It all began when Malavika Mohanan wished Dhanush on his birthday on Twitter. In the tweet, she said that she is hopeful to share screen space with him soon. Within a few hours, Dhanush himself replied saying he is looking forward to working with her as well. The actor’s response sparked rumours regarding the cast of his 43rd film. The music of the film will be composed by GV Prakash, who has earlier worked with Dhanush in hit films like Mayakkam Enna, Polladhavan and Aadukalam.
