Opinion: No mourning for Sushant but B-wood cries for Chadwick

Chadwick Boseman, best known for the 2018 superhero film ‘Black Panther’, died after a four-year long battle with cancer. Boseman was the first black superhero to get his own standalone film in the Marvel ‘Black Panther’, and was set to appear in a sequel to ‘Black Panther’ due in 2022.  All movie lovers are feeling sad at the loss but it is only appropriate to bring out the hypocrisy of the Bollywood stars here. No mourning for Sushant but B wood cries for ChadwickAlong with the entire world mourning the death of the Marvel star Chadwick Boseman, Bollywood stars including Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, and others took to social media to express their grief over his demise. Barring Anupam Kher and a few co-stars, where were all the above actors when Sushant Singh Rajput died? Why didn’t at least one star tweet about the loss of a colleague in the industry? Why is there so much insecurity or is it fear? Are they scared that if they speak a word or tweet something, a can of worms will come tumbling down?  It is just a matter of time when these stars will be brought to their knees when the theatres open and the films don’t get an audience.
