A small-time actress in Bollywood has been arrested for allegedly running a sex racket in Mumbai city.
Television actress Aarti Mittal, who worked in various serials and shows like ‘Apnapan’, has been a casting director in the industry for quite some time now. The police apprehended her recently for allegedly supplying models to potential customers in the city.
Acting on a tip-off, the city police formed a team to arrest the actress and others who are involved in the racket. During the secret operation, two dummy customers were formed and were made to follow the instructions of Mittal at a hotel near Goregaon.
They have received pics of the two models on their WhatsApp. Later, the customers were asked to wait at two locations either Juhu or Goregaon. Subsequently, the customer booked a hotel in Goregaon. The actress came along with two models and has been recorded in the spy cameras.
Immediately, the team rescued two models and arrested Mittal. Later, the models were sent to a rehab center. The police said the actress has promised the two models Rs 15,000 each for the services to the customers.
A case has been registered against Aarti Mittal under Section 370 of the IPC for trafficking girls.
