Sriram Raghavan and Ayushmann Khurrana delivered a big hit ‘Andhadhun’ two years ago. The National award-winning movie also reminded us of how great Tabu as a performer is. When the remake’s discussion came up in the media, everyone opined that no other actor could do justice to the role other than Tabu. It seems that the Telugu producers of the Andhadhun remake approached Tabu, but things did not work. They roped in Tamannah to reprise Tabu’s role in the film. 
Nithiin plays the lead role. For the Tamil remake starring Prashanth, Simran is officially on board to reprise the grey character. Simran made her comeback to Tamil cinema a couple of years ago, but she does not get the right kind of characters to display her full potential. She will next be seen in Netflix’s original film Paava Kadhaigal. She is in talks for a couple of other movies too. Simran will look perfect for Tabu’s role than Tamannah in the Telugu version. The shoot of the Tamil version will begin early next year.
