Social media negativity leads young producer Sharath to deactivate Twitter

Chai Bisket, once renowned for its creative video content, has transitioned into a production house under the new name, Chai Bisket Films. Their productions “Writer Padmabhushan” and “Mem Famous” brought them fame and wealth.

Yet, in an industry where successes and failures are common, the fledgling production house, led by young producers Anurag and Sharat, seems to have struggled with this reality.

Recently, they acquired the rights to the Kannada hit “Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare” and released it as “Boys Hostel.” While the movie received praise, it didn’t perform as well as expected. This prompted the team to introduce a “1+1 ticket” offer.

Since the release of “Mem Famous,” Sharat has become a target for trolls due to his inability to accept failure gracefully. Responding to genuine audience opinions, he engaged in verbal conflicts, even within a Twitter Space. This pattern resulted in him being criticised consistently by netizens.

Sharat’s response was also heated when a YouTuber expressed dissatisfaction with his movie, leading to the creation of a viral slamming video on social media. Netizens sided with the YouTuber and criticised Sharat for his unfiltered reactions to a genuine review, ultimately causing him to leave the Twitter platform.

Even producer Supriya avoided answering a journalist’s question during a recent press meet. Netizens are advising Sharat to maintain composure if he wishes to succeed as a producer in the industry. The future remains uncertain, and it remains to be seen how these events will unfold.
