Plot
Three noted big wigs in Hyderabad get kidnapped and the cops are clueless. This is the time NIA jumps into action and tries to nab the man behind it. But little do they know that there is a common man(Mohan Babu) behind these kidnappings. How will they nab him from doing the bigger crimes is the story of Son Of India.
Performances
Mohan Babu is the life and soul of the film. His sincere acting is what keeps this film in place. He has played an emotional part in the second half and is quite active in the first. Characters like Pragya Jaiswal, Pruthvi, Ali, Vennela Kishore, Ali, and Bandla Ganesh are there just for the sake of it and bring no depth.
Analysis
The film is a simple kidnapping which is directed in a different manner by Diamond Ratna Babu. He tries to act over smart and hides all his characters and all we see in Mohan Babu dealing with the goons.
There is no seriousness in the first half as the kidnapping showcased is way too silly. The logic goes for a toss and the manner in which cops handle the situation is lethargic.
Things start making some sense as the flashback brings some emotions. But that is also short-lived as there is no depth in them. Mohan Babu’s role has some meaning but the narration is spoilt by the faulty direction which is very outdated.
It is sad to see an actor like Mohan Babu lost in transit in such a movie. While he tries hard to salve the film, it keeps sinking from time to time and bores the audience.
