Sukumar’s daughter reveals why she missed out on Pushpa 2

The film Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, became one of the highest-grossing movies of 2024. It broke several records and set new standards in the film industry. Recently, director Sukumar shared an interesting story involving his daughter Sukriti during a press meeting.

Sukriti Veni Bandreddi, Sukumar’s daughter, made her acting debut with the film Gandhi Thatha Chettu. She attended the press meeting for Pushpa 2 with her parents, Sukumar and Tabitha. When asked if she had always wanted to act, Sukriti revealed a humorous interaction with her father.

She said that she had asked Sukumar if she could act in Pushpa 2. Sukumar told her that she would need to audition like any other actor. Sukriti quoted her father saying, “Do an audition, let’s see.”

Sukumar praised his daughter’s acting skills during the event. He said he was amazed by her performance in her debut film. He openly expressed pride in her talent and mentioned that he did not mind if others thought he was bragging.

He also appreciated the team of Gandhi Thatha Chettu for creating such a remarkable film. Sukumar specifically mentioned the efforts of producer Sindhu Rao who worked hard to bring the project to life.

Sukumar said that he was deeply impressed when he saw the first video clip of Sukriti’s performance. He added that he was unafraid to compliment his daughter’s abilities publicly.
