Taraka Ratna's Political Dream

Taraka Ratna’s political dream cut short, wish unfulfilled. Nandamuri Tarka Ratna’s life is riddled with struggles. Although he holds a record for launching nine films in one single day, his film career was not successful as he expected. Failures greet him at every single step.

But there was no dearth of support from the Nandamuri family. Balayya loves him so much. Help coming from all corners but he was dissatisfied with the scripts that came his way.

After a long gap of struggling marital life and a dissatisfied film career, Taraka Ratna wanted to get closer to the public. And work for the welfare of people. His wish could be possible only through politics. That’s how he slowly rubbed shoulders with the TDP cadre. Meeting every foot worker in the party, he gradually expressed his wish to contest Assembly elections from the Gudivada Assembly segment.

On January 27th, Taraka like any other TDP worker felt there should be change in guard in Andhra Pradesh. And he embarked on Nara Lokesh’s Padayatra supporting him from the core.

But destiny had a different plan. Taraka Ratna’s Political Dream was cut short. He wanted to fight the battle against the YSRCP and win the elections. But he collapsed with a heart stroke on that fateful day at Kuppam during the padayatra. Doctors couldn’t revive him despite providing the world’s best health care. He finally gave up after 23-day-long long battle and left the party cadre and Nandamuri followers in grief.
