Telangana government has announced job notification to fill  9,355 posts in Panchayat Secretaries across the State. In this regard, Telangana government issued the notification under which educational qualification and age limit criteria has been mentioned. The selection process will be held under the supervision of Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Employment.

The Finance department has directed the Panchayat Raj and Rural Employment department to take appropriate measures need for recruitment process like considering reservation rule, forming selection committee among others. Emphasizing the importance of secretaries, chief minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao said, ” If only they work with commitment there would be sea change within two to three years Telangana villages will become role models in the country and will be known all over the country that role model villages exist only in Telangana”.

It is worth mentioning that Telangana out of 12,751 village panchayats, it has 3562 serving secretaries.
