Family Star 10 days collections: Vijay Deverakonda’s 3rd consecutive disaster

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s latest film, The Family Star, has hit a rough patch at the Indian box office. Despite high hopes, the movie struggled to attract audiences and failed to make a mark in its first 10 days of release.

Directed by Parasuram, the romantic family drama hit theaters on April 5th to mixed reviews from critics. Unfortunately, audience reactions have leaned heavily towards the negative side, resulting in poor box office performance.

The film’s opening weekend numbers were disappointing, and the trend continued into the weekdays. With collections dropping below 1.50 crores on the first weekday, it was evident that “The Family Star” was headed for trouble. Despite a slight bump in numbers during the Ugadi holiday, the overall performance remained lackluster.

Here’s a breakdown of the film’s box office collections in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions:

– Day 1: 3.85Cr

– Day 2: 1.55Cr

– Day 3: 1.28Cr

– Day 4: 45L

– Day 5: 1.12Cr

– Day 6: 42L

– Day 7: 48L

– Day 8: 30L

– Day 9: 36L

Total AP-TG Collection: 10.09CR (18.05CR Gross)

With an estimated budget of Rs 50 crore, “The Family Star” needed to perform exceptionally well to break even. However, with a current business of only 43Cr, it falls significantly short of its target. The film requires another 27.71Cr to reach the break-even point, a feat that seems highly unlikely given its current trajectory.

Even in the overseas market, “The Family Star” has failed to impress, earning a mere 9.80 crores gross. This dismal performance adds to the overall disappointment surrounding the film.

Despite featuring a talented cast and crew, including Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, and director Parasuram, “The Family Star” seems destined to be remembered as a box office disaster. With lukewarm audience reception and underwhelming numbers, it’s evident that this film has missed the mark.
