Throwback: When Thaman and Aadhi Pinisetty were arrested at midnight
Aadhi Pinisetty, known for his versatile roles as a hero, villain, and character artist, is gearing up for the release of his latest film, Shabdam. Directed by Arivazhagan, the movie is set to hit the screens on February 28 in Telugu and Tamil. As part of promotions, the team recently participated in an interview with star anchor Suma.
Aadhi, the son of veteran director Ravi Raja Pinisetty, has made a name for himself with films like Sarrainodu, Ninnu Kori, Rangasthalam, and U-Turn. Apart from his career, his personal life has also been in the spotlight. He married actress Nikki Galrani two years ago, and the couple is happily enjoying their married life.
A Midnight Adventure Gone Wrong
During the promotional interview, music director SS Thaman shared a humorous incident from his past with Aadhi and director Arivazhagan. Thaman recalled an unexpected twist on his birthday, saying:
“Aadhi planned a surprise for me in Chennai and asked me to come to a newly constructed flyover at midnight. We were just cutting the cake when the police arrived and arrested both Aadhi and Arivazhagan. Since it was my birthday, they let me go.”
He further explained the reason behind the police action: “We had been bursting crackers on the flyover, but there was a Tamil Nadu minister’s residence nearby. His family couldn’t sleep, and they called the police. That’s how Aadhi and Arivazhagan ended up spending the night at the T Nagar police station.”
The incident led to a change in their celebrations. Thaman concluded: “Since that day, we stopped having midnight birthday celebrations.”
With Shabdam marking the return of the successful Vaishali duo—Aadhi and Arivazhagan—after 16 years, expectations are high. The film’s teaser and trailer have already received positive responses, making it one of the most awaited releases.
