Tillu Square day1 collections: Tillu wins the hearts with his humor

Tillu Square 2 Tillu Square

Tillu Square, the much-anticipated Telugu film, made a roaring entry into cinemas this Friday. Film bagged positive talk right from its first show, delighting audiences and raking in an impressive Rs 23.7 crore in its opening day, as announced by the film’s creators on Saturday. Makers released a poster and captioned it as shattering records of Tillu.

Starring the dynamic duo Siddu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, the movie received a warm welcome from viewers, setting the stage for a promising run.

Directed by Mallik Ram, “Tillu Square” continues the tale of the beloved characters from its predecessor, the 2022 hit “DJ Tillu,” featuring Siddhu and Neha Shetty. Despite lacking a star-studded cast or extravagant budget, the film’s stellar performance at the box office is commendable. Its release during the extended weekend of Good Friday and Easter also contributed to its success.

Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, “Tillu Square” proves to be a profitable venture even before its theatrical release, with Netflix securing its digital rights for a handsome sum. The film’s popularity extends beyond Indian borders, with reports indicating impressive earnings from premiere shows in the US.

The ensemble cast delivers memorable performances, with Siddhu Jonnalagadda shining as Bala Gangadhar Tilak, affectionately known as “DJ Tillu,” and Anupama Parameswaran charming audiences as Lily, Tillu’s love interest. Muralidhar Goud and Prince Cecil excel in their respective roles, adding depth to the narrative.

Crafted by Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Ravi Anthony, with Mallik Ram at the helm, “Tillu Square” boasts a captivating screenplay that keeps viewers engaged throughout. Supported by stellar cinematography by Sai Prakash Ummadisingu and seamless editing by Naveen Nooli, the film is a visual treat.

With its catchy soundtrack composed by Ram Miriyala and Achu Rajamani, and gripping background score by Bheems Ceciroleo, “Tillu Square” promises entertainment galore. Produced under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film stands as a testament to the power of storytelling and creative collaboration in cinema.
