Varun Tej is doing back-to-back films in his career. He is known to select impressive scripts and he has done the same with his last few films. Next in line is a film with director Karuna Kumar of Palasa fame.
Well, the film was launched today in Hyderabad in a simple manner. The makers have titled the film Matka and the film about Matka, a form of gambling which was a rage in the bygone era.
The story which takes place between 1958-1982 is based on a real incident that shook the entire nation and the story is set in the backdrop of Vizag. The story spans 24 years.
As the story progresses from 1958 to 82, we are going to see Varun Tej in four different get-ups. Some known faces like Nora Fatehi, Meenakshi Chowdary, Naveen Chandra, Kannada Kishore, Ajay Ghosh, Mime Gopi, Roopalakshmi, Vijayrama Raju, Jagadeesh, and Raj Thirandas will be seen in key roles in this film.
