Vidaamuyarchi OTT:
Ajith Kumar’s latest film, Vidaamuyarchi, is ready for its digital release. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the action thriller was released in theaters on February 6, 2025. The film is now set to premiere on Netflix on March 3, giving audiences a chance to watch it from the comfort of their homes.
Vidaamuyarchi is inspired by the 1997 Hollywood film Breakdown and features Ajith Kumar alongside Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra in lead roles. The movie was produced by Lyca Productions, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. Cinematography was handled by Om Prakash, while NB Srikanth took care of the editing.
Unlike typical commercial films, Vidaamuyarchi takes a different approach, avoiding exaggerated action sequences and mass appeal elements. While this unique style received appreciation from some viewers, the film garnered mixed reviews from critics.
At the box office, Vidaamuyarchi has struggled to cross the ₹100 crore mark domestically, as per reports from tracking sources. With its OTT release just around the corner, the chances of a sudden surge in collections remain slim.
For those who missed the theatrical release, Netflix is offering the film in five languages, making it accessible to a wider audience.
