Vijay Deverakonda on not working in Hindi films

Vijay Deverakonda is on a roll. The craze only doubled post the massive success of Arjun Reddy. The actor is now will be seen in Dear Comrade on July 26. Ahead of the film’s release the tickets are selling like hotcakes with advance booking almost done.

Vijay has an immense craze in Hindi market too, courtesy Jhanvi Kapoor to name few among others. The actor was offered Bollywood films twice, Kabir Singh and Dear COmrdae, but Vijay politely refused the offer twice. Revealing for not taking up the offer he says,  “Because I didn’t want to become Hindi film hero, I wanted to become an actor, tell stories, and I feel no point in telling the same stories twice. I spend so much energy on a film I do it… I can’t redo entire emotions…It’s not exciting for me because I know the scenes. I wouldn’t want to waste six months doing the same.”

Vijay further adds, “it is interesting….doing Hindi is interesting but I want to do something that is Telugu and Hindi. Something that works back home and here. I can’t see myself shifting here at an apartment as my friends are back home. I love the laid back, lazy lifestyle. I can’t work like 5 guys every day photographing me. It serves the purpose but I don’t think I would like it every day and I think Mumbai is too fast for me. I like to do things on my own terms..”

“Now cinema has reached the space where you don’t have to be in Bombay to make… it is beautiful that we are all aware of each other and connected…so respectful of each other’s art. It has become a cool space,” quips Vijay.
