Rajamouli’s Baahubali movie has changed the face of Indian cinema. The film not only rakes in moolah in crores but also catapulted the Indian cinema to an international audience. The Bollywood industry also boasted of Baahubali’s success. After Baahubali’s release, many Bollywood films came up but failed to break the record.
Now that Saaho is releasing, the debate over Baahubali records has begun once again stating Saaho will create non-Baahubali records. Fans are expecting that Bollywood films that fail to break Baahubali record will be achieved by Saaho. However, analysts differ as the think that despite the high expectations of Saaho, it is difficult to get the Baahubali mark.
Trade analysts think that let along creating a non-Baahubali record, to achieve breakeven, Saaho has to collect nearly Rs 400 billion crores and Rs 125 crores in Bollywood alone. It is doubtful whether that level is possible for Saaho. Since Baahbali was a period drama, the film was able to pull off huge footfalls to the theatres. But Saaho is a regular social action story, and lot of action movies like Dhoom have come in Hindi. Whether Saaho is entertained by Bollywood people is to be seen.
