A major accident took place on the sets of a Kamal Haasan film, Indian 2 which killed three assistant directors and left 10 others injured. The deceased are – Krishna (assistant director), Chandran (art assistant) and Madhu (production assistant). The mishap happened after a crane on which they were sitting on fell apart and crashed to the ground. The shooting was happening at EVP Film City near Chennai. A police officer said, “The men were inside the box-like structure on top of the crane when it crashed. It appears they were working on lighting for the shoot. The incident happened at 9:30 pm on Wednesday.”
