Pay disparity is a wide gap not just in the showbiz world but even other fields across. In the past, we have seen Bollywood actresses from Priyanka Chopra to Shabana Azmi to Vidya Balam among many voicing on the pay-parity issue. And the latest actress to go vocal down South is Pooja Hegde. The sizzling actress took to Twitter to address the issue following the phenomenal success of Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi and Sonam Kapoor’s Veer Di Wedding. Both the films have gone on to set the cash registers ringing and also getting critical acclaim.

“Wait,female-driven films are getting critical acclaim AND making MONEY??!Well, girls…I hope u’ll start making as much money as the boys are making 😏considerin u’ll are now pulling in d crowd as well😉What’s their excuse now? @aliaa08 @sonamakapoor #paygap #Raazi #veerediwedding,” Pooja’s tweet read.

Recently, Keerthy Suresh starrer Mahanti is also going great guns at the box-office. Well, we agree with Pooja on the issue and it’s high time that the glamour industry should acknowledge the issue and give women actors equal weight in terms of capital. What do you have to say, folks?
