After blockbuster, what’s stopping Venkatesh?

Tollywood actor Venkatesh has seen many ups and downs in his career, but his recent success with Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam has brought him back into the spotlight. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film entered the 300-crore club, making Venkatesh the first senior actor from the Telugu film industry to reach this milestone. After this blockbuster, fans and critics are eagerly watching his next move.

Venkatesh now wants to continue this winning streak, but it hasn’t been easy. There were rumors that he might team up with popular director Trivikram Srinivas. However, Trivikram is currently focusing on his next film with Allu Arjun. Despite delays due to Allu Arjun’s other commitments, Trivikram seems ready to wait and prioritize that project. As a result, the possibility of a Venkatesh-Trivikram film happening anytime soon appears low.

In the meantime, several directors have tried to impress Venkatesh with fresh scripts. One such script reportedly came from Nandu Savirigana, the writer of Samajavaragamana. While Venkatesh liked the story, he has not officially agreed to do the film yet. This shows that he is being very selective about his projects, especially after the massive success of his last film.

There’s also buzz that Venkatesh might play a supporting role in Chiranjeevi’s upcoming movie, which is again being directed by Anil Ravipudi. However, the details of his role are still unclear. Even though this is just speculation for now, fans are excited at the idea of seeing Venkatesh and Chiranjeevi together on screen.

Interestingly, it now seems that Venkatesh’s films generate a lot of hype only when they are directed by Anil Ravipudi. His past collaborations with other filmmakers haven’t created the same level of excitement. This puts extra pressure on Venkatesh to choose the right script and director.

After the failure of Saindhav, which made less than 10 crores at the box office, Venkatesh is likely being more cautious. He doesn’t want to take unnecessary risks that could hurt his image again. With the high expectations set by Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam, he wants to ensure that his next film lives up to the buzz.

On another note, the second season of the Netflix series Rana Naidu—in which Venkatesh plays a key role—is almost ready. The team has wrapped up most of the shooting and is now moving to the dubbing and post-production phase. After the mixed reactions to Season 1, the creators are making sure to deliver a better experience this time.

Overall, Venkatesh finds himself at a crossroads. While he has the star power and fan following, he is also facing the challenge of picking the right projects without Anil Ravipudi by his side. Only time will tell what path he chooses next.
