Chandrababu makes AP bankrupt

Chandrababu Naidu has left Andhra Pradesh in bankruptcy. In order to retain chief minister berth for the second term, Chandrababu went on to dole out schemes without out thinking twice the effect it would cause on  state’s exchequer. Now, the dire consequence are being faced by the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

AP CMRF bankrupt

A woman identified Madhireddygari Jyothi has said that Rs 26,920 cheque sanctioned to her by the state government has bounced. The cheuqe was given to her by  former minister and TDP in-charge of Panyam constituency Erasu Prathap Reddy on April 9, days before the elections. When the beneficiary went to State Bank of India branch at G Pullareddy Engineering College to claim the cash, the authorities informed about the insufficient fund in CMRF.

Why should the government sanction financial aid to people in need when there are no funds? It is better to reject the application than issue dud cheques,” M Gangadhar Reddy said, husband of  Jyothi.
