It’s now been established beyond any speck of doubt that the knife attack on YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was a planned murder attempt.
Attack On YS Jagan Pre-Planned, Say Police
Making this announcement, Vizag police commissioner Laddha said that the accused, identified as Srinivasa Rao, was working in the canteen in the airport, owned by TDP leader Harsha Vardhan. Srinivas was working as a welder, cake master and cook. In 2017, he prepared a flexi poster of YS Jagan and planned to kill YS Jagan on October 18, 2018.
However, the attempt could not be made as Jagan left Vizag a day before. Srinivas had sharpened the knife twice and got a letter explaining why he attacked YS Jagan ready. Copies of the letter were made by one Vijayadurga. The attack on Jagan took place on October 25, 2018. The statements of both Vijayadurga and Srinivas were recorded under Section 164, he said.
