Big trouble for Pradeep Ranganathan’s pan-India film
Pradeep Ranganathan who recently tasted success with Dragon is all set for his next pan-India film titled DUDE. This film is produced by the well-known production house Mythri Movie Makers and marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran. The movie promises to be an emotional and engaging drama. Popular actress Mamitha Baiju, known for her role in Premalu, and veteran actor Sarath Kumar are part of the cast.
DUDE is scheduled for a grand release on October 17 in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. However, the film has landed in controversy due to its title.

Telugu actor-director Tej, who has been promoting his own movie titled Dude for the past year, expressed disappointment over Mythri’s use of the same name. Tej’s Dude is a trilingual sports drama based on football and is nearing completion. He is planning to release it around August or September. Tej clarified that he doesn’t want any conflict with a big production house like Mythri but has raised the issue with them and hopes for a peaceful solution.
Now, the film industry is keenly observing the situation. Will Mythri Movie Makers change their film’s title? Or will both films continue with the same name, possibly leading to confusion?
