Bigg Boss Telugu OTT Season 2 faced an unexpected twist as Star MAA TV decided to shelve the much-anticipated season. In the past, the Bigg Boss show had gained immense popularity across various languages, including Telugu. However, the recent seasons failed to maintain the same level of enthusiasm among the audience.

Last OTT version, titled “Bigg Boss Nonstop,” was hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Bindu Madhavi emerged as the winner. However it didn’t gain much TRP and also the sixth season of the television counterpart failed to capture viewers’ interest, while the seventh season managed to regain some attention.

The channel realized that the reality show had lost its appeal, failing to attract the desired viewership. Particularly, the OTT version seemed to lack the intrigue that the audience was looking for. Consequently, Star MAA TV made the decision not to renew the second season of the Bigg Boss OTT version. Adding to the complexities, upcoming elections also played a role in the show’s shelving, with plans to resume the regular version after the elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Furthermore, there are rumors that Nagarjuna Akkineni will no longer host the program. The makers are reportedly considering a new host to bring a fresh and innovative approach to the next season of Bigg Boss. This change is expected to inject new life into the show, keeping viewers engaged and excited for what’s to come.
