Boycott Sree Vishnu films:

Actor Sree Vishnu has recently become the center of a controversy involving his latest films. A Christian community group called Kraistava Sangam has asked people to boycott his upcoming movies. The group claims that his recent films, Swag (2024) and Single (2025), insult Christianity and Jesus Christ.

The community expressed that they feel hurt and offended by what they call “continuous targeted hatred” against their religion in these films. They believe that the movies mock Christian beliefs and values. The group also questioned why Sree Vishnu doesn’t focus on problems within his own religion instead of mocking others.

Swag is a historical comedy where Sree Vishnu plays multiple characters. The movie talks about social and cultural changes in society. On the other hand, Single is a romantic comedy that uses humor and satire. While some scenes in these movies may seem funny or sarcastic, there is no clear evidence that the actor intended to offend any religion.

The movie Single did well at the box office initially, but its earnings dropped during the weekdays. It is uncertain whether the controversy will help or hurt the movie’s success in the long run. Interestingly, some viewers, especially from the Hindu community, showed interest in watching the film after the boycott call.

Sree Vishnu has not publicly responded to the boycott. The situation highlights how films sometimes become the center of debates over religion and respect for beliefs. It also raises questions about the limits of humor and satire in movies.
