Poluru Krishna from Sulurupeta, Nellore district got his poster of his debut film Bucchi Naidu Kandriga…Toorupu Veedhi released by Dil Raju yesterday. The film will be released by Aha on 21st August. Director of the film, Krishna while talking to Klapboardpost.com reveals, it is about ‘paruvu hatyalu’. Bucchi Naidu Kandriga is a village that lies in between the borders of Nellore and Chittoor. Toorupu Veedhi is the street. He says, “I found the name of the village interesting and wrote the story based on the title. I work in television serials and write screenplays for them. I work in Chennai as my village is closer to Chennai and as an assistant and associate director of television serials, I do have good experience in direction. I am actually a Tamilian, but I am able to speak fluent Telugu because my mother is a Tamilian and father is a Telugu man. I got an offer to do television in Gemini and then onwards stayed here (Hyderabad) and worked in ten serials.. got Nandi award for two serials too. I am the scriptwriter and producer of Suryakantham and Gundamma for Zee.”
Krishna actually embarked on a feature film way back 2013 with Navdeep and Sneha Ullal but the film got shelved. He got back to television and when he saw C/O Kancharapalem, was inspired to do a small budget film. He was definitely blown away with the money that was spent on the film and resolved to write a script and make it on a shoestring budget. The film has a nineties backdrop and it is a love story. The movie begins on the day when Toli Prema releases in the theatres.
Those who studied in the tenth standard in the nineties will enjoy the film a bit more. “Kadha allina taruvatha I wanted a village so I named it Bucchinaidu Kandireega. I want to put a full stop to honour killings in my own small way, so I have given it a new climax. The entire cast and crew is new except for two actors who worked in Kancharapalem and Uyyala Jampala.”
