CBI to seek legal opinion on Rhea’s F.I.R

After the second day of her interrogation by the NCB, Rhea Chakraborthy landed at the Bandra Police station and she had a case has registered against late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh, Dr Tarun Kumar of Delhi hospital and others under sections of IPC and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Rhea filed a complaint before Mumbai Police requesting that an FIR be registered against them under IPC, NDPS Act and Telemedicine Practice Guidelines. In the complaint, Rhea has also accused Priyanka of molesting her. She wrote, “Priyanka Singh started touching my body with unusual behaviour and then she started molesting me and started demanding sexual relationship.”

CBI to seek legal opinion on Rhea’s F.I.RThe complaint also stated that Priyanka had sent Sushant a prescription by Dr Tarun Kumar and he “appears to have prescribed medication controlled under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 to Sushant without any consultation as mandated by law.” The complaint further stated that the “drugs prescribed by the doctor (Dr Tarun Kumar) were prohibited from being prescribed electronically under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.”

CBI issues first official statementMeanwhile, Vikas Singh, lawyer of the family of Sushant on Monday said that if the police accept Rhea’s complaint, the matter will be taken to the Supreme Court. Now the latest info is that the CBI’s special team of investigation will seek a legal opinion on this if required, the team will register an FIR and will probe this angle as well.
