Vijay Deverakonda post Dear Comrade debacle teamed-up with Puri Jagan for Fighter. The film is being helmed on huge canvass. Starring Bollywood heroine Ananya Panday and Karan Johar on board as the co-producer, one cans estimate the mammoth scale it would be. The film has had wrapped up 40-day schedule in Mumbai early this year, before COVID hit and made things come to a standstill.

With the plot being set in Mumbai, and with the City emerging has hub of COVID cases, speculations are rife that the makers will be shifting the base from Mumbai to Hyderabad. A fan quizzed the same to Charmee, and the latter clearly refuted them as baseless rumours stating, “Nothing has been changed n nothing will be changed !! Fighter script is a blockbuster.. shoot will begin only after corona crises settles down .. we r super duper confident about FIGHTER .. original title announcement soon”.
