Chiranjeevi’s homage to Gollapudi Maruthi Rao

The death of senior artiste Gollapudi Maruthi Rao has filled the Telugu industry of devoid. The veteran actor died at the age of 80, in Chennai due to prolonged illness. Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi flew down to Chennai to pay homage to Gollapudi Maruthi Rao. The last rites will be held in Chennai at Kannamma Crematory in the afternoon time, on Sunday, 15th December.

Gollapudi Maruthi Rao started his career at the age of 14 as a writer and by 19 he found a job in All India Radio. He got introduced to filmdom as a screenwriter for Annapurna Pictures. From 1973 to 1980, he became a popular screenwriter.
