With five fatalities on Thursday, the total COVID death in Telangana went up to 45. This was the second biggest single-day spike in death cases the sate government witnessed after March 30 where six people died. Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours 38 fresh cases were reported, taking the state’s tally to 1,699.
The State Health bulletin has cautioned people to report if they show any symptoms. It reads, “In case of any Flu/ Influenza-like symptoms such as cough, sore throat, running nose, fever, difficulty in breathing, body pains and headache, please report to the nearest government health facility without delay”.
Out of all the districts in the state, Hyderabad has reported highest number of cases with 472 confirmed infections. Meanwhile, with 1,699 cases, Telangana ranks at number 12 in the country, while Maharashtra tops the COVID cases with 41642 as per the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
