Actors & Performances:
Sharib Hashmi is seen as Raicharan in the movie and he is fantastic in his role. It is in a long time that he played an effortless role in Darbaan. His performance will win the hearts and will stay with us for a long time. Sharad Kelkar played the role of Anukul who is extremely good in the film. Sharad Kelkar is seen in a lot of films in recent times but this is his best performance. Rasika Dugal played Sharib’s wife. Flora Saini played Sharad’s wife in the film. Both are impressive. The rest of the cast does not have much scope to perform but are good in their limitations. Harsh Chhaya. Suneeta Sengupta and Varun Sharma are a part of the film too.

Analysis:
It is one of those rare films that appear bitter-sweet in the end. The film has the cast in the right place. Everyone gave their best for the movie and elevated the plot so well. Rabindranath’s short story has all emotions which got translated so well on the big screen as well. The film’s screenplay is impressive. At times like this, the film is so relevant. The movie’s narrative structure is good. With limited characters, the film bets high on emotions. Although the film has everything in place, the depth is missing in some scenes. All the emotional scenes have come out well but it could have been better had there been a little depth in dialogues. The film also appears like a simplistic take on life. Technically, the movie is brilliant. The tone of the movie catches the attention perfectly. The camera work is excellent. The score elevated the emotional scenes so well. The major plus points of the movie are the performances from both the leads. On the whole, the film is an impressive take on relationships that will move you emotionally.
