Popular Kollywood director Venkat Prabhu is currently helming the much-awaited project, “The Greatest of All Time” (GOAT), featuring the versatile actor Vijay in a dual role.

The first look poster generated significant buzz, but it also drew criticism from some sections of the audience, mainly from Vijay’s anti-fans, who noted similarities with the Hollywood film “Gemini Man,” starring Will Smith in a similar dual role setup. This comparison unfortunately had a lukewarm reception at the box office.

In a recent social media exchange, a critic took a dig at Vijay’s past movies and  made disgusting comments on GOAT. He wrote, ‘Vijay sir after his pathetic 2023 with back 2 back flops is expecting a decent comeback atleast in 2024. So If you are really planning any remakes, I suppose he ain’t a good fit for Hollywood film remakes, as he is neither Ajith Kumar nor Mahesh Babu’.

Venkat Prabhu, known for his quick wit, responded in good spirits, stating, “Sorry bro. I expected something better from you. Happy New Year!” This humorous comeback not only won hearts online but subtly reinforced the originality of their creation.

“GOAT” is currently in its production phase and boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Yogibabu, VTV Ganesh, Ajmal Amir, Mic Mohan, Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajay Raj, and Aravind Akash, playing pivotal roles.

Under the AGS Entertainment banner, the movie is being produced by Archana Kalapathi, Kalapathi S Aghoram, Kalapathi S Ganesh, and Kalapathi S Suresh, and is set to feature musical compositions by the talented Yuvan Shankar Raja. Fans and enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting more updates about this promising venture.
