Director Harish Shankar had a patchy career as a director. While one of his films shines at the box office, another film fails to perform. But the director was consistent in giving some big hits in the careers of mega heroes. It all started with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh.
The film was a remake of Hindi movie Dabangg but still, it became a blockbuster in Telugu and gave a hit to Pawan after 11 years. Then, Harish worked with Sai Dharam Tej for the film Subrahmanyam for Sale which also gave a big hit to the actor back in the year 2015. Later, the director teamed up with Allu Arjun for DJ.
Though the film got mixed reviews, DJ remained as one of the big hits at the box office. Now, Harish directed Varun Tej’s Gaddalakonda Ganesh which also became a super hit at the box office. The buzz is that Varun Tej has plans to work with this director again towards the end of the next year. More details on the project in their combination will come out soon.
