Idhe Maa Katha Review

Srikanth and Bhumika have teamed up for the first time for a film called Idhe Maa Katha. The film also starring Sumanth Ashwin has been released. Read our review to find out if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

Srikanth, Bhumika, Sumanth Ashwin, and Tanya Hope play four riders who start on their own mission. But in a crazy turnaround of events, they meet and things change from there. How do each of them helps others and solves issues in life is the story of Idhe Maa Katha.

Performances

After a long gap, Srikanth was seen in a very stylish manner in this film. Srikanth, who is searching for his teenage love is very apt for his role. Bhumika is also very endearing in her downtrodden role. She is choosing good roles and once again leaves a mark on this film.

Tanya Hope overacts for no reason and could have been toned down with her performance. Sumanth Ashwin hams to no extent and impresses only in a few scenes. Saptagiri’s comedy is also neat and brings a few smiles.

Analysis

Idhe Maa Katha is directed by Guru Pawan and he is not good at his narration. His story idea is contemporary and has written his basic characters also well. But the scenes are lost in translation.

The film has strong viewpoints from each character and its perspective but is not handled well emotionally. For some reason, you do not feel sad for a few characters.

The makers have shown the bike riding scenes quite nicely and the BGM ably supports this aspect of filmmaking. But the director should have done better in making this film gripping. But it does not happen and fails to leave a lasting impact on us.

Bottom Line – Lack basic emotional depth
