Natural Star Nani gained back his success form by scoring a super hit with Jersey earlier this year. Now, he is coming up with heist entertainer, Gang Leader. When the title was announced, it received a heavy backlash as many fans of Megastar Chiranjeevi felt that the title belongs only to the Chiru and no one deserves to use it.
But the makers decided to go with the same title despite all the backlash. Speaking at the press meet of the film yesterday, Nani said that they were aware that they might get a mixed response when they decided to use the title of Chiru’s iconic film. But they were sure that the audience would love it once they watch the film and will think that the title has been aptly put.
Nani also said that there are many Megatsra references in the film which will be loved by all the mega fans. Directed by Vikram K Kumar, Gang Leader features Priyanka Arul Mohan as the heroine. Mythri Movie Makers has bankrolled this project. It is slated for the worldwide release on September 13.
