From the past few days, it is being rumoured that Lady Superstar Nayanthara will be acting in a film based on the life of Queen Velu Nachiar. For those who are unaware Queen Velu Nachiar is an 18th-century warrior queen from Tamil Nadu. The news of this biopic has excited the fans. However, Nayan has officially stated that she is not part of any such film. An official statement from Nayan’s PR team read, “Certain news stating that Ms. Nayanthara is a part of period film based on the life of Queen Velu Nachiyar has been circulating in some sections of the media.
Ms Nayanthara categorically denies such a movie and we voice her opinion on the same to the media. This is a baseless rumour and on behalf of our client, we request the media to verify the facts before publishing. Verification is just a call or message or mail away.” With this statement, Nayan ended all the speculations circling in media. As of now, Nayan is acting alongside Rajinikanth in Annaatthe. This film is being directed by Siva. On the flip side, she is also acting in Vignesh Shivn’s Kathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which co-stars Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha.
