One special feature in Savithri biopic Mahanati is that though most other celebrities of her time are seen, NTR is only passingly mentioned. The unit actually wanted Jr NTR to do the role, but when he refused, they decided not to have any other actor to do the legend’s role. As a result, NTR’s Patala Bhairavi stick fight was included through visual effects.
Ditto with NTR biopic. In this film, many other celebrities are shown, but not Balayya Babu. There is only a passing mention of Balayya Babu. The only son of NTR who gets screen space is Harikrishna.
Balayya Babu’s birth is shown and NTR naming him Balakrishna is shown. But, there is one moment in the film where the fans shout ‘Jai Balayya’ in the background. This scene is bound to give goose-bumps to Balayya fans.
